The Challenge
SalesTech's 50-person sales team was spending 2+ hours per day switching between Outlook and Salesforce to log emails, update contact records, and check deal stages. Reps often skipped logging altogether, leaving CRM data stale and making pipeline forecasting unreliable.
Our Solution
We built an Outlook add-in that activates on email open and reads the sender/recipient addresses via the Office.js API. The add-in queries Salesforce in real time to match contacts and deals, displays a rich sidebar with the contact's pipeline stage and open tasks, and provides a one-click 'Log to CRM' button that writes the email thread to Salesforce — all without leaving Outlook. OAuth 2.0 handles authentication with zero IT-managed credentials.
